Welcome Home

Welcome Home

“What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. And I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the Promised Land. What a day, glorious day that will be.” We often sing this song as we look forward to the Day God will judge all of mankind, separating His sheep from the goats and ushering the faithful into an Eternal Home with him. As we look at these lyrics today, we can see another meaning.

Welcome home to those who have been out due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We cannot express how much we have missed seeing and fellowshipping with you. With the restrictions lifting and the state returning to a sense of normalcy, it is almost a sigh of relief! This day is a very exciting day. We are so very happy and relieved to see you together again. It is great to have the Family back together.

Welcome back to those who have been attending the “early services” during the pandemic. I know that I had a chance to see you and interact with you during this time, but those who came to the later services did not. Rest assured that we will all be giddy to be back together.

With all of us coming together again, one great question arises: What will we do now? We learned that the Gospel can go out when we think it should not be able. We realized that the church is a strong family. We uncovered the fact that struggles make us push harder to glorify God. Please let me urge you and I to not let this fire go out. Let’s keep burning to be lights in a dark world. Michael will continue his great work online. The church will continue to meet. The youth groups will continue to meet and grow. YOU NEED TO BE A PART OF ALL OF THESE. I pray that we will all stay ignited in passion for the work of the Lord.

Welcome home and welcome back!
