God’s Plan of Salvation: REPENTANCE

God’s Plan of Salvation: REPENTANCE

The Bible has only one theme: the redemption of mankind. Everything encapsulated in the Holy Writ is to point each one of us toward God. To fully understand this is to understand the need one need man has—salvation. After a man hears and believes the truth of God’s Word, what is the next step? Repentance is defined as the changing of ones mind which results in a change of ones actions.

God’s Word teaches us to REPENT- Matthew 21:28-32, Acts 9:35, Luke 17:4…True Biblical repentance involves regret, resolution, reformation and restoration.

Why should we REPENT- Romans 6:23, Acts 2:37-38, John 3:16, Romans 2:4, Acts 17:30-31, Luke 24:46-47

Examples of REPENTANCE- Luke 15:11-32, Matthew 26:75, Acts 2:38-47, Jonah 3:4, Matthew 12:41

REPENTANCE involves-II Samuel 12:13, Psalm 51, Acts 26:20, II Corinthians 7:10

Fruits of REPENTANCE- Matthew 12:41, Colossians 3:5-10, I John 1:7-8, Luke 15:7

May God bless us with the ability to hear His Word and grow our faith in our Holy God. May God bless us with time to act upon our belief by changing our mind about sin and take up His cross and follow Him.
