YOUNG EARTH FIELD TRIP

FROM BABEL TO CREATION: TRAVELING BACK IN TIME

SEPTEMBER 13-19, 2026

In the world we live in today, evolutionary theology has become the State supported “religion” of the world. This “religion” is supposed to be whole-heartedly accepted without question by everyone; anyone who dares to question it is labeled a “heretic” and cast out from the modern day “Synagogues” of acceptance (John 12:42-43). This State supported “religion” is taught as “fact” in almost all aspects of our lives, even in schools associated with the churches of Christ. Evolutionary theology has corrupted not only our institutions of higher learning, but in the past few decades, it has infiltrated nearly every aspect of our lives. We see it in our textbooks, in signs and brochures for our public lands, in children’s cartoons and television shows, in displays at the zoo, etc…, and saddest of all, it has begun to corrupt Christians, and congregations of the Lord’s Church. In fact, it has become so ingrained into our world; it has become very difficult to find relief from its grasp. Evolutionary theology has become one of Satan’s greatest accomplishments in modern times. However, evolutionary theology is in fact as the Apostle Paul stated, “…science falsely so called” (1 Timothy 6:20).

For those whose faith allows them to believe what God has said in His word; how He created the “…heaven and earth, the sea, and all that…” is therein in six 24-hour days (Exodus 20:11; Hebrews 11:3), what are these faithful men and women to do? There are very few institutions of education to turn to, to learn of these Bible based facts. Many Godly parents or congregations of the Lord’s Church do not have the knowledge or the capability to be able to refute this anti-God evolutionary theology. With Satan using his minions in various government, academic, scientific and media communities to attempt to stamp out any reference of God, in favor of an explanation of the creation of the universe that cannot possibly include any type of supernatural being; what are Godly men and women to do? Where are they to turn, in order to refute these lies?

To deal with these issues, sound men of God have been working for several years in defense of God’s Word at an organization called Apologetics Press. These brothers in Christ work tirelessly to refute evolutionary theology, as well as other types of false doctrine. Several brethren from the 70 West congregation have been working with staff from Apologetics Press to organize a field trip to several locations in Arizona and Utah to discuss the biblical view of the many sites that we see in our world today. The trip will be led by Dr. Jeff Miller, and will provide onsite classes at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona and Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Glen Canyon in Utah.

During the course of this field trip, Dr. Miller will be discussing at the various sites, Apologetics and Science, Ice Age, Babel, Cavemen and Job (Bryce Canyon NP), Catastrophism after the Flood (Zion NP), the Flood and Pre-Flood World (Grand Canyon NP), Scientific and Historical evidence of the Flood (Glen Canyon), Seismites and Defending the Flood (Cedar Breaks NM), as well as numerous other topics.

This field trip will give an occasion for those Godly men and women to receive firsthand an educational opportunity to see natural science taught, from the Biblical perspective. This field trip will allow Godly men and women the opportunity to hear science taught in a way that is based upon God’s creation of the universe and all that is therein. It will be a chance to see the wonders, which God spoke into existence, taught in accordance with scripture. This will be an educational opportunity to see that there is a scientific explanation for what we see at these locations, which coincides with what God has written in His word, not an explanation that seeks to remove all thought of God from His creation. This will be an educational opportunity to see science taught based upon what the word of God says; not what many do, when they take their scientific explanation, and seek to manipulate the Bible in order to fit it into that scientific explanation (e.g. Gap Theory, Day-Age Theory, etc…). This trip, will offer an opportunity to lay down a foundation of fact, based upon God’s word, for yourself, and your children, so that you can all see for yourselves that science does not have to oppose the Word of God, but in fact, true science fully supports what God has said in His word. This trip can instill the tools in all children, men and women, to be able to refute the siren’s call of evolutionary theology.

Notes:

The first class will take place in conjunction with Sunday evening worship, and the last class will take place on Friday afternoon.
All Christian men who participate in this field trip should be prepared to lead prayers, lead singing, or give devotionals.
The Church will not be providing any funding for this trip.
Each family will be responsible for their own travel expenses, lodging and food.
o There are several national chain hotels located in Kanab, UT including: Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, La Quinta Inn, Days Inn, Best Western, Comfort Suites, Travelodge, as well as numerous local hotels.
o There are also several campgrounds/RV parks located in and around Kanab, UT.
Each family will be responsible for determining their own travel arrangements to arrive and depart from this trip.
The cut-off for people to commit to going on this trip will be July 1, 2026. The per-family-fee of $200.00 to pay for Jeff Miller’s time and travel will be due by July 1, 2026.
