Welcome!  We are so glad that you are a part of the family here at the Hoover congregation!  We are writing to personally invite you to join our Women’s Ministry programs.  The women’s ministry is made up of several teams, including Encouragement, Spiritual Edification, Mentoring, and Fellowship.  Please contact us if you would like to find out more about the teams as we work together to serve our Lord!  It is our prayer that you find just the right fit with your unique talents and skills in this ministry.  Your ideas and enthusiasm are a huge part of what makes our congregation so special, and we would love for you to work with this amazing group of women!

Activities include:

• Bridal Showers
• Baby Showers (first baby at Hoover)
• Decorating the Fellowship Hall for Congregational Related Events

Mentoring Team

Leader: Felicia Arnold

This team coordinates mentoring activities to help our young women (6th-12th grades) grow in their relationship with God.

Activities include:

• Bible classes
• Service projects
• Devos
• Weekly scripture
• Visit the sick and shut-in women of our congregation
• Visit nursing homes
• Various fellowship activities (bowling, sleepovers, movies, etc.)

Encouragement Team

Leader: Shawna Brown

Activities include:

• Meals for the sick and bereaved
• Baskets for new members
• Lunch/Dinner for new members
• Care Packages for College Students (living away)
• Dinners for Young Professionals/College Age (living here)
• Send out cards for birthdays and anniversaries
• Ministering to widows, shut-ins, and sick
• Caroling during holiday season

Spiritual Edification Team

• Ladies Day in the Fall
• Ladies Retreat in the early Spring
• Community Service Projects
